A little more about me.
The person behind the pixels.
I've always been the kind of person who wants to know how things work. And then, naturally, wants to see if I can make them work a little differently.
That curiosity has taken me from film sets to advertising agencies, through more creative disciplines than I originally planned on, and eventually into creative direction. It's been a pretty interesting ride so far.
Want the more traditional version of my professional history? I've got one of those, too.

The professional plotline
2013–2016
The film years
I started my career working on film and television productions as a freelance gaffer, camera operator, and cinematographer. Long days, heavy equipment, and plenty of opportunities to learn how to tell a story through a lens.
2016–2017
Entering the agency world
I traded film sets for Anker Agency out of Pantego Texas, where I worked as an in-house videographer and began expanding my skills into graphic design. Turns out, telling stories with a camera and telling them through design have quite a bit in common.
2017–2022
Connecting creative and data
At Monkedia, a data-driven advertising agency, I spent five years developing digital campaigns, sharpening my design skills, and learning how creative decisions translate into actual performance. I also began mentoring junior creatives and discovered how much I enjoyed helping other people bring their ideas to life.
2022–Present
Creative direction and everything in between
As an Associate Creative Director for Four Columns Marketing, I've helped lead creative direction across a wide range of brands and campaigns. My days can involve anything from developing brand identities and directing photoshoots to designing websites, producing video, and figuring out why an ad isn't performing the way we'd hoped.

When I'm not making things...
I'm usually at home with my wife of seven years, who also happens to be my best friend, and our two rescue dogs, Teddy and Louise. Between the four of us, there's a lot of quality time, daily walks, and a healthy amount of dog hair.
When I do venture out, you'll probably find me on a road bike or a golf course, enthusiastically pursuing hobbies that have a remarkable ability to humble me.
I'm also an aspiring decent cook (with occasional evidence of progress), a casual guitarist, a video game enthusiast, and someone who voluntarily spends hours putting together 1,000-piece puzzles.
Basically, I enjoy a good challenge. Even when the challenge is figuring out where that one edge piece went.
